Outer Wilds is a once in a lifetime kind of game. As an explorer, players embark on a mission to unravel the mysteries of a vast and interconnected solar system. Each cycle presents a new opportunity to uncover the secrets hidden within enigmatic planets scattered throughout the cosmos.
The constant worry of doom looms as players find themselves in an endless time loop. Through exploration, observation, and experimentation, you find yourself on a journey of self-discovery, ultimately uncovering the key to preventing the supernova event and uncovering the secrets of an ancient civilisation.
Feel and Mechanics

Outer Wilds places players in a first-person perspective, immersing them fully in its vast universe. The game's controls generally offer a smooth experience, facilitating exploration of its intricate environments. However, navigating through the cosmos can sometimes prove challenging, with controls that, while functional, may feel slightly cumbersome or imprecise, particularly in more intense situations.
Despite this, we found the mechanics remain refreshingly simplistic, allowing players to focus on the wonders of discovery rather than getting bogged down in complex systems. This minimalist approach enhances the sense of immersion, inviting players to lose themselves in it's beauty and intrigue.

I don't think I've ever been as deeply immersed in a gaming world as I have with Outer Wilds. The game's seamless transitions between serene, sun-drenched landscapes and bone-chilling regions of uncertainty and solitude create an unparalleled sense of immersion.
The player will also develop a relationship with their explorer as they meet and converse with characters scattered around their solar system who are either completely unaware of their own mortality or in denial about what is yet to come.

Whilst this game doesn't have conventional loot collection. Outer Wilds is punctuated by breathtaking "wow" moments that leave players in awe of its vast and wondrous universe.
